Shipping & Policies — Hatching Eggs

Everything you need to know about how we pack, ship, and handle your fertile hatching egg order.

How We Ship

All hatching eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. We ship every Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a federal holiday) to ensure your eggs spend the least amount of time in transit.

Each egg is hand-selected, individually wrapped in bubble wrap, cushioned with packing material, and double boxed for maximum protection during shipping. We take every precaution to make sure your eggs arrive safely.

Delivery Timeline

USPS Priority Mail typically delivers within 2–3 business days from the ship date. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships so you can follow your package.

Hold at Post Office: During checkout, you can request that USPS hold your package at your local post office instead of delivering to your address. This is a great option if you won't be home to receive the package promptly.

Local Pickup

We offer local pickup by appointment for customers in the Crestview, FL area and surrounding Florida Panhandle communities including Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, and Pensacola. Contact us to arrange a pickup time.

Hatch Rate Expectations

Shipped hatching eggs typically have a 50–75% hatch rate. Fertility is strong when eggs leave our farm, but hatch rates can be affected by several factors including:

  • Shipping and handling conditions during transit
  • Temperature extremes during delivery
  • Incubator temperature and humidity settings
  • Egg handling after delivery
  • Whether eggs were rested properly before incubation (12–24 hours)

We cannot guarantee a specific hatch rate for shipped eggs, but we do everything in our power to ensure the eggs are fertile and carefully packed before they leave our farm.

Refund Policy

50% of your order total is a non-refundable deposit.

  • Before shipping: You may request cancellation for a 50% refund of the order total.
  • After shipping: All sales are final unless we are unable to ship your eggs on time or the eggs do not arrive at your location.
  • We do not offer refunds for low hatch rates, as too many factors outside our control affect the outcome after shipping.

What to Do When Your Eggs Arrive

1

Open & Inspect

Open the package promptly upon arrival and inspect for any visible damage. Contact us immediately if there are issues.

2

Let Eggs Rest

Place eggs pointed-end-down in an egg carton and let them rest at room temperature for 12–24 hours. This allows the air cell to settle.

3

Set Up Incubator

While eggs rest, ensure your incubator is at 99.5°F (forced air) or 101–102°F (still air) with 45–55% humidity.

4

Start Incubating

Place eggs in the incubator after resting. Turn 3–5 times daily (or use an auto-turner). Expect hatching around day 21.

Damaged Shipments

If your eggs arrive damaged due to mishandling during shipping, please contact us with photos of the packaging and eggs within 24 hours of delivery. We will work with you on a resolution on a case-by-case basis.
